INCI: Palmitic Acid
Palmitic Acid moisturizes and softens and acts as an occlusive to lock in moisture. It cleans and lathers. Especially in soaps, shaving foams, and facial cleansers, it acts as a surfactant and detergent agent that binds to dirt and oil so they wash away easily, and it stabilizes products by functioning as an emulsifier to keep creams and lotions smooth and uniform.
Higher concentrations can feel too heavy or can be comedogenic for acne-prone skin.
